TLDR: Superb value for money; Excellent service; Book Direct for best price! Bacon Test 5!! This hidden gem is situated in a residential area and thankfully has it's own car park for guests. I cannot overstate how accommodating the owner is, our booking for a twin room was made for a house move and we had to change the dates multiple times and never with any issues. Even when it did happen I was 'that' guest that didn't check in until 9.30pm, and it was all dealt with by the owner with a smile! The hotel is a traditional B&B, exceptionally clean in all areas and our room was ideal. The beds were comfortable and it was so nice having a decent sized en-suite, rather than some other hotels that call a cupboard that you can barely turn around in an en-suite! We both slept well with only minimal disturbance from the road nearby. As we had removals turning up very early the next morning, I wasnt expecting breakfast to be served but the owner was so lovely and opened the kitchen especially for us, and served us the most beautiful full English breakfast with proper coffee, big shout out for the best bacon I have tasted in decades, proper slabs with no expense spared on quality, everything else on the plate was also good quality and expertly cooked. Cereals and thick sliced toast with jam/marmalade were also available, and set us up perfectly for the day ahead unpacking boxes. The Fairhaven hotel is now top of our list for staying when we visit family in Nottingham now, and booking direct gives the best prices too!

Checked in last minute with two colleagues on a business trip. Host was very accommodating and even served us up a good breakfast the next morning. Wholesome guy. Highly recommend!

Very good and honest owner. I’ll definitely recommend and book again for my family or friends visiting Nottingham. The location is nice as well. I booked a room last minute for someone else but they didn’t need it in the end. After communicating with the owner, he kindly accommodated my cancellation request without any charge even though it was non-refundable when I booked it.
Great little guesthouse/b&b...friendly staff...and very clean... Stayed here for week for work...very good stay... Good parking...and room was nice, with a handy sink, kettle inside etc... Overall...very nice!! Darren
Stayed in the family room this weekend. Lovely room with a kitchenette, large bathroom and large bedroom. Decor a little dated but spotlessly clean. Breakfast was superb. Full English and toast. Choice of cereal if wanted. Close to the train station if you want to go into the city. Will definatey stay again when next visiting family.
